Power Restored To Nearly All Nyseg Customers In Area After High Winds Hit

Dozens of Hudson Valley NYSEG customers remain without power following strong winds that sent tree limbs and power lines strewn about the area.

Snow Joke: New Storm Could Bring Up To 3 Inches Of Accumulation

A High Wind Warning was put in effect in the area until midnight on Thursday morning, when more than 1,000 NYSEG customers reported power outages in the area. As of Thursday morning, that number was knocked down to just 17 customers.

In total, 26,002 NYSEG customers in New York were still reporting outages as of 9:30 a.m. on Thursday morning. The complete outage list can be found here.

At 9 p.m on Wednesday,, 456 outages were reported in Putnam and 742 in the areas of Northern Westchester services by NYSEG, with numerous outages in Somers.
